Day 23, whoops...

So I kind of forgot I was doing this 30 day blogging challenge. Let's say I screwed up and forgot all about it. So I'm gonna pick up where I left off.

Day 23- Something you crave for a lot

*Tootsie Rolls
*Dr. Pepper
*Skittles
*Sky Line Chili (it's from back east where I'm from, it's amazing)

I hope you had a fantastic Saturday!!! I spend mine waiting 4 hours to get my taxes done for free. It was a pain and really tested my patience but well worth the wait. Then my family and I went to Golden Coral for my little cousins  15th birthday! Good day.

Yuck!

In my earlier post I discussed how I was wanting to not only lose weight but be healthy. Everyday I've had salads and soups that are low in calories and taste so good but are just so good for your body. Today I went to lunch with a friend and thought that I would be able to eat pizza and pasta, well as the day has gone on it has hit me hard. I feel so gross and I'm really regretting eating that piece of pizza. Of course while I was there I had a spinach salad that was amazing but it just goes to show that once you start to teach your body to eating only certain foods, you kinda need to stick to it :) haha.

At the beginning of the week I started a hard core workout and eating totally different foods and so far in just 3 days I've lost 3 pounds and it feels so amazing to know that I am changing my life. I know that 2011 will be just an amazing year and I can't wait to see what it has in store for me.

Happy Wednesday night!

Get healthy or BUST!

I've been eating a lot more healthy lately, teaching myself to eat different and what I eat. I've been going to the gym and hopefully keep at it. I know I need to get more in shape and it's so cliche to start at the new year, but honestly I started this a week before 2011 came. I'm just needing some motivation. It's so hard to change your entire life but I am determined to that.

School started last week and so far it's been great. My classes are so different from any other classes I've taken in years.

Happy Monday

2010 into 2011

2010
I started this year with moving into my first apartment with three other girls. It was challenging but so worth the experience. In June I moved back home and then I am moving out again this next coming summer. I failed my spring semester but did pass a few classes. I got a very bad kidney infection that lasted for six weeks. This summer was filled with tons of work and saving money, camping, laying out in the hot sun, and relaxation. Fall semester started and I was ready to bounce back from my previous semester. I passed all of my classes and finally have confidence in myself.

2011
This past week I started eating healthier and working out so I will be already trained before the new year and not psych myself out. I can't wait to see what the spring semester of school has in store for me. This summer I'll be moving out, going to school, working, and hanging out with friends. I can't wait. This next year will be amazing and I can't wait to see what it has store for me and my family.
Have a wonderful but safe New years and New years eve.

I just love Natalie Portman. She can pull of any acting job, any hair do, and still look amazingly beautiful.

How do I feel?

While sitting at work I had a resident walk up to me and ask me if I ever write down my feelings and I replied with a no. I thought this was funny because I do have a blog and a journal (even though I've only written in it twice) and with these two things I don't ever really write down how I'm feeling. I'm a very emotional person, I cry at movies, songs, commercials, you name it. I love letting my feelings out but I usually only let myself see them. I hate having my family or friends see my emotional side, and vise versa in seeing their side. I'm going to try and write down my feelings on here almost everyday and see if that helps with me bottleting up my feelings.

Today I feel grateful for my amazing family.  I couldn't ask for a more crazy and wonderful family. My Christmas was great. I was able to spend the whole day with my relatives and have laughs and just no arguments on Christmas.
I am very anxious for the next semester to start. I can't believe I passed math and won't be taking a math course next semester, thank goodness. But with this next school year I will be taking two science classes and I will admit I am a scared of what will happen with these classes.
I'm sad that one of my dearest friends who is a mother of a few month old darling baby girl is ending her relationship with her husband of a year. I hate seeing her in pain and because of her pain I therefore have pain. I love her to much to see her like this. I know she can make it on her own and will be an excellent mother to Avery.
I hate getting those butterflies in your stomach for someone you know you can't have and you can't get them to go away. Your heart races when they talk to you and you blush as they smile. A wise man once said, "That's why they call them crushes. If they were easy they would call them something else." The dad from "Sixteen Candles".

That's my first day of trying to jot down my feelings and thoughts, hopefully I stick with it.

I hope you had a Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Eve!!

I have so much to be grateful for this Christmas. I feel as though my year of 2010 started out rough. I moved away from home into an apartment with girls much older than me, I got a major  kidney infection that bound me to my bed for six weeks, and then I failed a ton of classes from not going because of my infection. Once summer came I felt like myself again and was actually excited to start back to school in the fall. This past semester at school has been amazing, stressful, but amazing. My best friend, sister, and cousin Alex joined me at school, I joined the Fine Arts Committee on UVUSA, and passed my classes. I'm so excited for my next semester of school and hopefully finish up my associates so I can continue on in my education and major.
On Christmas eve my entire Grimmett family gets together (which is about 50+) and we eat, laugh, tell stories, do a natavity story, exchange gifts, and just have fun being together. Then tonight I will have my entire Spresser family over at my house to spend the night and be able to wake up together on Christmas day to open presnets, eat, and relax. It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Merry Christmas

What I'm grateful for this Christmas season...

Yesterday I was watching my four year old little cousin Hayden

Around 7 pm my mom left to go to work up the canyon at Cirque Lodge, a drug and alcohol facility up by Sundance.  At this time snow started to come down and it was very slippery.  At 7:22 pm I got a call from my mom and these were her exact words, "Tasha, don't freak out, but I just totaled my car."  Of course I freak out but there is nothing I can do about it. I'm sitting at home watching Hayden and there was no way I was driving out on the roads in my little car with him, plus he didn't need to see his Aunt Liz hurt like that.  After about another 45 minutes Hayden's mom shows up to get him and I left for the hospital.  My mom has a neck brace around her neck and her hand is completely swollen two sizes her original size.  It was at that time that my mom told me what happened.  It started to snow and it had gotten really really slippery up the canyon.  She was trying to go around a semi truck when she hit a patch of ice and slammed into the median, ping ponged to the other side of the road and then back to the median.  She hurried out of her car worried that someone else was going to hit her, and tried pushing her car over to the side.  She was about 5 ft. away from driving her car into the river.
My Mom is very lucky women to still be alive and only walk away with major bruising, soreness, and a possible fracture of the wrist and hand.  This Christmas I am so very grateful to have my mom still with me alive and well.  Please be careful this winter when driving.

Day 22

Day 22 - What makes you different from everyone else

Everyone is different in their own way, it's just how you choose to differ yourself from the rest of the "pack" that counts.  In my own special way I am very quirky, open about my feelings, emotional, I'm very close with my family, and LOVE to clean.

UGH, it's finals week! Wish me luck!

Day 20

Day 20 - Someone you see yourself marrying/being with in the future

I honestly couldn't answer this question. There are many men out there who I like but don't know what will happen in the future.

happy friday!

Day 19

Day 19 - Nicknames you have; why do you have them

Latasha Nanae- My grandpa used to not be able to say Natasha Lenae so he would call me that.

Tasha Bell- My nana and a few of my family members call me that, probably because my favorite Disney princess is Belle.

Tooshy- One of my best friends, Peggi calls me that and I call her Peggers.

Tashy Tash- One of my other best friends Shalisa calls me that and I call her Li Li.

Nae- My middle name is Lenae so others call me that.

Tasha- It's a shorter way of saying my name, Natasha..
